50 Ways for Creative Founders, Freelancers & Rebels to Attract New Business (11-15)
Tips eleven to fifteen in a series designed to help you win work
Hi friends,
Welcome, welcome. I’m so grateful to those of you who signed up to receive these monthly advice pieces. And I’m curious to hear if you actioned any of the first ten tips in this series yet. If so, what happened when you did? I wonder if you’ve generated some new leads or increased your income? Perhaps it felt harder than you expected, or maybe everything flowed with ease and was surprisingly enjoyable!
I’ve been creating 1-2-1 bespoke retreats on the coast this month. I’ve also been swimming, practicing yin yoga and enjoying local festivals. Bespoke offerings for
1-2-1 clients is a new opportunity for me. Perhaps I was a bit nervous about branching out into the unknown, but it’s been so much more fun than I expected. Trying out a variety of delicious brunches and lunches and visiting studio spaces has been exciting. Selling the retreats feels very different to my usual marketing approach. Instead of spreading the message widely, I’ve hand-picked a few clients and pitched directly to them. The reaction has been really positive and I’ve made sales. I love contemplating what each client has requested, building the ideal retreat together, and delivering it for them.
I’m so pleased to be bringing you five more tips in this series today. You should have 15 so far, including these.
Together we’ll reach fifty tips in total, all focused on attracting and winning new work for you in your creative business. Tips 11-15 are in today’s article, below, for you. The rest will follow in the coming months. (In fact, there are three bonus tips under each main point, so you get another 20 today.)
Of course, some of the ideas will resonate more than others. Simply ignore those that don’t feel useful. Maybe choose one tip per week as you progress through the year.
I’ve consciously kept this guide affordable, so I trust you not to share these emails online or forward them to anyone. If you find them helpful, please do encourage your creative pals to subscribe. Thanks again for signing up, I can’t wait to hear the exciting progress you’re making.
